Painted on a black gesso’d canvas using only white tones, the piece features a lone female figure mid-stumble or fall. Her dress trails, arms flung outward, body in motion. She could be dancing, running, slipping, or surrendering: the ambiguity is part of the magic that is interpreted uniquely by the viewer.
Beneath her, a reflective, shimmering surface catches the light like wet asphalt or water under street lamps. The glimmer evokes rain-slicked pavements, moonlit water, or the fragile boundary between control and collapse. Splashes burst around her limbs, frozen mid-flight: hinting at an unseen force now breaching the surface.
Her eyes are closed. She is somewhere between grace and gravity.
