The idea of the gun as a modern day equivalent of yin and yang – in this sense, the fine line between order and chaos. It’s rarely obvious, not a perfectly symmetrical symbol, often being chaotic, finite and visceral. The gun symbolises the extreme of both of these ideas: order by simply existing in its purest objective form and the threat of what is to come, coupled with chaos when that trigger is pulled. It’s a comment on the emotional feeling and potential reaction between those two parameters.
